TOM SIBTHORPE
FOUNDER & HEAD OF COACHING
Excel Football was founded by current Millwall Academy coach Tom Sibthorpe. Tom, utilising his academic interests in skill acquisition, saw a need for a higher level of coaching service that utilises the latest evidence informed practice, where the needs of the individual came first. No shams, no development myths. Tom just wants to add value to every person he engages with because it is 'never too late' to improve.

Tom has over 11 years coaching experience ranging from nursery, primary, grassroots and professional academy settings, as a coach, sports scientist and analyst. He hold the prestigious UEFA A and AYA coaching awards, and is also a UEFA C Coach Developer within the Essex region.
DANNY SHIPP
DEVELOPMENT COACH
Danny is our resident ex-professional and is Dagenham and Redbridge's all time current record goal scorer! He is always on hand to offer a few words of wisdom, and key nuggets of advice. Especially around his favourite topic of shooting and finishing!

He has over 16+ years experience coaching all ages within the local area and community and is the current manager of Aveley's U23 side. Danny is also a Liverpool fan!
